A man from Cherokee County, Georgia is accused of traveling to Floyd County to meet someone he thought was a minor for sex acts.

MRS. SARAH ELIZABETH COVINGTON WOOTEN – AGE 86, – Of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. She was born on September 7, 1935 in Menlo, Georgia to the late Benjamin A. Covington, Sr., and Georgia Starr Covington. She was preceded by her husband, Charles Wooten, Sr., three brothers, Wilburn Starr, Bobby Lee Starr, Benjamin A. A tree falling across a power line overnight caused a power outage in the Teloga Community. According to Georgia Power, about 10 houses are affected by the outage. The outage is in the area of Neal Gap Road and East Teloga Road. Georgia Power says that power should be restored around 10:45 AM.
