Bulldogs Postseason Loss Was A Heart Breaker In Overtime

WILCOX COUNTY 23 – TRION 22

It was a heartbreaking, overtime loss for the Trion Bulldogs as they made a four-hour drive to Wilcox County to take on the Patriots on Friday night.  The Wilcox County Patriots who were 9-2 on the season, answered a Trion touchdown in overtime and won it with a 2-point conversion run to end the Bulldogs’ season.

Theft Of Wheel Reported

A Back Berryton Road, Summerville man reported a theft to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.  According to a report released this week, the theft happened last month when two white males came on the property of Ed Hammitt and stole the front wheel and tires off a 1997 Dodge Ram truck.  Mr. Hammitt captured the incident on his trail cam.

Coach Bennett & Lady Indians Receive Honors

Earlier this year, longtime Chattooga Lady Indians softball coach Jeff Bennett had announced that he would be retiring after this season.  After the announcement, Chattooga High School surprised Coach Bennett by naming the new softball field in his honor.
