On Tuesday, the Northwest Georgia Department of Public Health released weekly COVID-19 numbers for the fifteen counties that they serve.
Starting Thursday, Walker County Schools will go on a temporary hybrid schedule, due to the spread of COVID-19 in local schools.
Chattooga County Health Department staff will be at the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair Thursday, August 26, and Friday, August 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, August 28, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., providing free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged 12 and older. Availability on Sunday, August 29, will depend on previous days’ demand.

Update: Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that the teen was last seen at her home on James Street in Summerville.
