The Summerville City Council will hold their regular monthly meeting for January on Monday evening at 5 PM at Summerville City Hall. A question and answer session with the mayor and council will be held at 4:30 PM with the meeting to follow. The public is invited to attend.
The search continues as law enforcement continues to investigate the disappearance of a Northwest Georgia man. Police say James Kevin Bradshaw disappeared over a year ago.
A fifty-four-year-old LaFayette man was arrested by drug task force agents in Chattooga County after he was accused of selling drugs in a Dollar General store parking lot. The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force says that David Pettigrew was seen selling 140 prescription pills to another person for $140. The incident happened at the Dollar General Store on Highway 114 in Lyerly. Pettigrew was charged with manufacturing, possession or distribution of non-controlled substances. The incident took place on December 29th.
