A documentary film maker sued the State of Georgia over a 2016 law that requires some looking to do film work in the state to sign an oath saying that they will not boycott the nation of Israel.
A Memorial Day Remembrance program will be held at Veterans Park, located at Dowdy Park in downtown Summerville this Saturday. Residents are being encouraged to come spend the afternoon as there will be a rededication service of the World War I-era Doughboy Statue along with music provided by both local high school bands. One of the organizers of the event, Barbara Massey Reece tells WZQZ News that it will be an opportunity for families to gather and pay tribute to soldiers, sailors and airmen who have lost their lives in defense of our freedoms.
