There are quite a few changes to the Christmas Activities in Summerville this year. The parade will be a “reverse Christmas parade” – which means the floats will be stationary and people will drive by to see them. Also, the parade is being held on a Saturday instead of the traditional Monday evening. Once again this year, Summerville Main Street will sponsor a “Mistletoe Market”, but with some changes, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department was called to a shopping center on Sunday to investigate a van break-in that was reported by an employee that works at Lookout Mountain Community Services.

Appearing on CNN on Monday morning, Georgia’s Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan says that there are no examples of fraud or irregularity in Georgia’s voting.
Little River Canyon National Preserve is hosting a series of free Ranger-led hikes and interactive programs each weekend in November.
The preserve is less than an hour’s drive from Rome on U.S. 27 and Alabama Highway 35.
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, park rangers will present programs every Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. CST.
