A record number of voters turned out to vote in the election held on Tuesday in Chattooga County. Around 10,000 voters cast ballots in the Presidential race, and for the first time, a Republican took 80% of the vote.
Georgia voters have already gone to the polls several times this year, but the voting is not over in the Peach State.
Voters in neighboring Walker County went to the polls on Tuesday to cast their votes for a multi-member county commission. Voters had approved the switch from a sole-commissioner form of government, but the former sole commissioner will now be the Walker County Commission Chairman.
Trion High School’s Homecoming Parade will be held this evening. The parade will start at 7 PM. The route will be from the Trion Recreation Center on Park Avenue to Trion High School.
