The Georgia Department of Education is launching the Partnership for Rural Growth, an initiative to expand the resources available to public school districts in rural Georgia.
The Summerville City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow, Monday, November 12th, 2018. The meeting will be held at 6 PM in the Summerville City Hall on Georgia Avenue.
The first item on the agenda, and the only item under ‘Unfinished Business’, is for the council to consider approving a “Robo-call” method for the city to communicate with residents.
Under ‘New Business’, the council will consider taking bids on an upcoming mowing project, and then discuss city employees’ Christmas bonuses. Next, there will be a closed executive session to “discuss personnel and possible land acquisition”. Last on the agenda, the council will vote on retroactively making the city manager’s contract approval date November 1st, 2018, and have it remain in effect until November 1st, 2019.
