Mrs. Bertha Mae “Bert” Bramlett, age 89, of Summerville, GA died Monday, April 21, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Bramlett was born May 10, 1918 in Trion, GA, the daughter of the late William “Bud” Crider and Mable Scott Crider. She was a homemaker and a member of the Perennial Springs Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Treasurer for over 40 years. Mrs. Bramlett loved sewing for the public and farming. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Bramlett; son, James Jerry Bramlett; grandson, Jerry Allen.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Faye Bramlett, Summerville, GA, Zula Ellis,
Summerville, GA, and Shirley Brown, Cartersville, GA; one sister, Dot Lamb, Oregon;10 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 27 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from the chapel of
Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Stamey and Rev. Jimmy Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Raymond Ware, Bobby Chisolm, Fuzz Anderson, Greg Hurley, Ben Blalock, Terry Hurley, Junior Jones, and Roland Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class and all Members of Perennial Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bramlett will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Mason Funeral Home is directing.
