MR. BRUCE ALLEN CRAIN, age 57, of Polk Street-Menlo, Georgia passed away Wednesday (April 15, 2009) in a Rome hospital following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Chattooga County, He was born May 25, 1951. Mr. Crain was a member of Menlo First Baptist Church and was Head Sawer for J. P. Smith Lumber Company in Menlo, Georgia..

Surviving are His wife-Carolyn Simpson Crain; mother-Billie Brewer Crain of Summerville; father-Bert Crain of Menlo; daughters & sons-in-law-Tracy & Johnny Payton of Menlo, Rhonda & Barry Blalock of Mentone, AL.; son & daughter-in-law-Kevin & Angie Crain of Menlo; sister-Brenda Hammitt of Summerville; brother-Doug Crain of Gaylesville, AL.; grandchildren-Lindsey Little, Jordon Little, Caleb Payton, Conner Payton, Erica Blalock, Dustin Blalock, and Braden Crain; nieces, nephews; and special friends, Gary and Trina Howell of Summerville.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00pm  from the J.D.Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Howell and Joseph Bain officiating, interment in Alpine Cemetary.  Active pallbearers:  Jon Bain, Kevin Smith, Dennis Tucker, Greg Martin, Rick Walker, Steve Tate, David Gifford and Marty Johnson.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the Family suggest contributions to the Chattooga County Food Bank.
