Mr. Auburn Lee Canada, age 80, of Jamestown, AL died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Canada was born July 2, 1930 in Cherokee County, AL, the son of the late Joe and Mary Allen Canada. He was retired from Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Factory. Mr. Canada was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where he served as deacon and a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Lee Canada; children, Gary Wayne Canada, Ricky Glenn & Trish Canada, Timothy Lee and Karen Canada, Jerry Anthony Canada, Diane Elizabeth & Paul Reynolds, and Nancy Kay Burkhead; 12 Grandchildren; and 15 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p. m. (EST) Friday, July 23, 2010 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Berry and Rev. Chris Hearns officiating. Burial will follow in Moseley Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Men’s Sunday School Class of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Mr. Canada will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. (EST) Thursday, July 22, 2010
