There will be a Memorial Gospel Explosion Fundraiser in remembrance of Mr. Arthur Anthony, Rev. Charles Dodson, and Ms. Glenda Hall @ Chattooga County Civic Center in Summerville on January 4 beginning @ 12:00 P.M. Plates consisting of chicken and fish, plus desserts will be made for purchase at that time. All groups, soloists, and praise dancers are all invited to the event. The Gospel singing will begin @ 4P.M. Proceeds from the event will go to the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund. Four Mile Baptist Church and Wayside Baptist Church will be having a joint New Years Eve Candle Light Service Dec. 31st at 7pm. The service will be held at Wayside Baptist Church located at 855 Sloppy Floyd Lake Rd. in Summerville. This is not a watch night service. Pastor Joel Smith and Pastor Lloyd Gilreath and the congregation of Four Mile and Wayside invites the public to attend.
