Second Baptist Church- Annual Women’s Day Celebration

Second Baptist Church of Summerville will host its Annual Women’s Day Celebration on Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m.

The event will take place at the church, located at 65 Church Street in Summerville, and is open to the public.

Organizers say the program will feature guest speaker Apostle Terri Mayes of Greater Refuge Ministries in Rome. The celebration will focus on fellowship, unity, and faith, with attendees encouraged to come together in support of one another.

Church leaders say the annual event is an opportunity for the community to gather in worship and celebrate women’s contributions within the church and beyond.

Pastor Forrest Tipp Cooper Jr. invites the public to attend and be part of the special service.

Singing At Chapel Hill Full Gospel

Chapel Hill Full Gospel Church on Butler Dairy Road is having a singing on April 25th at 6:00 PM. The singers will be The Joyful Sounds.  Everyone is invited to attend. 

Armuchee Baptist Church- Open Closet

Armuchee Baptist Church will be opening its Christian Life Center Doors this Saturday, April 11th,2026 from 10am-5pm to meet the needs of both Chattooga and Floyd Counties. The name of the event is “Open Closet.” There will be a variety of items available. Including but not limited to baby clothes, baby bottles, baby toys, toddler and kid’s clothes, toddler toys, adult clothes, adult shoes, home décor, furniture, ceiling fans, and more! Event Coordinator Crissy Hawkins stresses the importance of making sure our communities have what they need but may not be able to afford as we head into the summer. Here is the best part, the cost of items. FREE! That’s right, everything is FREE! Pastor Lloyd Gilreath states, “We are very honored of the outpouring of support we have had from people who have donated to this cause. This is a true example of shinning the light of Jesus Christ in the communities.”

There’s Hope for the Hungry at Central Avenue Baptist Thursday

There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion this week on Thursday, April 9, to give away free groceries. Come between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to get your free groceries. No ID is required. But, you must be present to receive the food. The free Clothes Closet will also be available from 10:00 until 12:30.

Trion First Baptist Easter Services

Trion First Baptist Church has announced its Easter week services.
A Maundy Thursday Communion Service will be held April 2 at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday on April 5 begins with a sunrise service at West Hill Cemetery at 7:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.
The church invites the community to attend.

Cloudland and Menlo Presbyterian Churches will sponsor the annual Sunrise Service at the lovely home of John and Beverly McNeil located on South Brow Drive between mail box 529 and 613. at 7:00 a.m. Sunrise is at 7:23.
**In case of RAIN, please meet at Cloudland Presbyterian Church for sunrise service.** Sausage biscuits and coffee will be served immediately afterward at the Cloudland Fellowship Hall prior to a joint worship service at 10:00 at Cloudland Presbyterian Church
