A free community breakfast has been scheduled at Spring Creek Baptist Church at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. The breakfast will consist of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, etc. They will also be giving away free coats to kids 12 and under while they last. The public is invited.
Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available this coming Saturday, December 1. It is still $7.00 per quart. The stew should be ready around 10:30 a.m. You may pick the stew up in the fellowship hall before 1:00 p.m. They usually sell out so the stew is sold on a first come first served basis. Thanks to all who support their stew project.

Trion United Methodist Women will be having their Bake and Craft Sale this Saturday, November 17 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and until 1:00 p.m. There will be cakes, pies, brownies, fried pies, and other delicious items. Lots of crafts available. Come early and have breakfast.
Welcome Hill Baptist Church will be holding a Prayer Lantern Release on November 17th at the Welcome Hill Baptist Church Community Outreach Park on Longhollow Rd in Trion. It will begin at 5:00 and the Lanterns will be released at dark. The Lanterns will be$5.00 each This Release will be in memory of Faye Shores. Come join us and write your prayer, wish or in memory on your Lantern and watch it fly. Proceeds will go for the park development with a portion going to the Cancer Society.

Ladies of the Pennville Alliance Church invite the public to their fellowship hall on Tuesday November 13th between 12:00 and 5:00.. They are having an everything must go yard sale. Sale items include clothes, shoes, bed sheets, comforters and some furniture. Stuff a bag for $1.00. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help those in need at Christmas.
