Trion Heights Baptist Church presents “Jesus . . . The Light of Christmas . . . The Light of the World”, a drive thru Live Nativity with over 52,000 Christmas lights synched to Christmas music. The event will run nightly Dec. 7 – 21st from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. There is no fee as this is their gift to the community. Pastor Vernon Johnson and the members invite the community to attend.
Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available Saturday, December 3rd. The price is $9 per quart and is sold on a first come first served basis. Reminder calls do not guarantee stew will be available. You may pick up stew around 10:00 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m on Saturday.
Also, the United Methodist Men will have a Bake Sale with a selection of cookies, brownies, fried pies, cakes and other goodies.

There’s Hope For The Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist Church on Wednesday November 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to distribute free food.
New Hope Methodist Church will be having a Past, Present, & Future Celebration this coming Sunday , November 20th beginning @ 11:00 AM. Rev. Robert E. “Pete” Barrett and the New Hope Church family invites the public to attend this event. The church is located at 241 Martin Street in Summerville.
Pentecostal Power Ministries is hosting their 3rd annual Feed The Hungry program.
FREE Thanksgiving Dinner plates will be available for pick-up Saturday November 19th in Dowdy Park beginning at 12:00. They will be there until all plates are gone.
The plates will include turkey, dressing, potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and a bottle of water.
If weather permits, there will be live gospel music too.
Come experience “A Walk Through Bethlehem” nativity story on Saturday December 10th from 5pm until 8pm at the Lyerly First Baptist Church. Hands on activities for the kids. Journey through the market at the end of your journey you will find the Heart of Christmas: God’s newborn son. The public is welcomed to attend.
Hope for the Hungry will be giving away boxes of food on Thursday November 10 beginning at 10:00 and ending at 1:00 at the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion. No ID required but you must be present to receive the free groceries.
