After being closed for the past two years, the Lawrence Chapel Medthodist Church in Menlo will be celebrating their 122nd Homecoming on Sunday August 28th at 11am. Reverend Robert Barrett, the pastor, will be the speaker. Dinner will be served on the grounds, weather permitting, following the service. The public is invited to attend.
Mountain View Baptist Church will have their homecoming services on Sunday August 28th. The service will begin at 10:45am with Keith Allison preaching. Lunch will be served after the service. After lunch, there will be a singing with the Faith Baptist School Youth Choir. There will be no Sunday School or evening worship on the 28th. Faith Baptist Church in Menlo will have Homecoming services Sunday, August 21 at 11 AM with special singing and a dinner to follow the service. The church is located on Highway 48 in Menlo and Pastor Scott Quinn invites everyone to attend.
There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist Church on Wednesday August 17 from 10:00 a.m. until
1:00 p.m.
Homecoming will be this coming Sunday, August 21st, beginning at 10:30 Georgia time at Mount Calvary Baptist Church on Lookout Mountain. Brother Kevin Smith will preach the message, and Brother Glen Wilbanks and family will be the special singers. Everyone is invited. Central Ave Baptist Church in Trion will be giving away food thru There’s Hope for the Hungry on Thursday August 11th. Anyone can come by between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to receive a box. No ID is required but you must be come in person to receive a box.
Pond Spring AME Zion Church invites everyone to their 127th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, August 21st at 2:30 PM. Guest speaker will be Rev. Garrett Williamson, pastor of Emmanuel AME Zion Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The celebration theme is “Praising Our Way Home”.
