Center Post Community Center will host a free music night on Saturday January 20, 2024 beginning at 6 PM. Local talent, Laney Rayburn and Mason Thompson will be performing on stage. The Chattooga County Extension Office will be conducting a cooking class, beginning in the month of February, to learn how to manage diabetes and other chronic diseases through meal preparation. The Saturday classes will be held from Noon until 1:30 PM starting February 6th and going through March 5th. Registration for Tee Ball, Baseball and Softball is now open at the Summerville Recreation Department. The program is for children ages 3 to 12. The age control date is prior to September 1, 2024. The Menlo Lions Club will be making their famous Brunswick Stew on the 12th of January. Price is the same at $30 a gallon or $8 a quart. There’s Hope For The Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist Church this Wednesday December 20th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The Subligna Community is going to continue their Christmas Parade tradition in 2023. The community, located in the northeastern corner of Chattooga County, says that the Fourth Annual Christmas Parade will take place the Saturday before Christmas this year.
The 2023 Chattooga High School Football Banquet will be held on Wednesday of next week. The football banquet will be held at the high school cafeteria at 6 PM on December 13th. All those who plan to attend are being asked to bring a dessert for the banquet.
