
The Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park have planned a volunteer event coming up this weekend – on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
The Trion High School Lady Basketball program wants your gently worn, used and new shoes to help them raise funds for a charity.

The Chattooga High School Cheer Leaders will be holding a “Cheer Leading Kiddie Camp” coming up next month.
Mount Vernon Mills and Blood Assurance will be hosting a “Buses Only” Blood Drive on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at the Central Plaza from 6 AM to 5 PM. First time donors are requested to bring picture ID with them. Go directly on to one of the buses to register and donate. Remember to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the drive and eat healthy nourishing meals. Mount Vernon Mills and Blood Assurance invite all the community to participate in this event with their employees.

The Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park will be meeting this week. They will meet this Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Chattooga County Library.
Dianne Stone who is a K-9 handler with Search and Rescue Dogs of Georgia will be the guest speaker. She will have a couple of her dogs in training with her. Come join the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park for this informative meeting.
You do not have to be a member to attend.
Registration for kindergarten will take place next month for students in the Chattooga County School System.
WWII Veterans at reunion in 2016
The Chattooga County Civic Center, 44 Highway 48, Summerville, will host a free lunch for World War II veterans and their families and guests at noon on June 6.
