The Chattooga County Literacy Council is inviting everyone to come by the Summerville McDonald’s on Tuesday, October 9th from 5- 7 PM to support “McLiteracy Night.”

Saturday, Sept. 29, the Bulldog Athletic Club will hold its first annual “All Sports JACKPOT Giveaway” in the TCS Cafeteria.The event will begin at 5:00 pm.
Over $15,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, with the Grand Prize of $5000. Each Jackpot ticket costs $100.
Every athlete, both male and female, in both Trion High School and Trion Middle School will be working in unison for the betterment of the entire Trion City Schools Athletic Department.

Mt Vernon Mills and Blood Assurance will be hosting a Blood Drive Wednesday September 26th from 6AM – 5PM. Everyone is invited to come and donate a pint of life saving blood. Blood Assurance donations stay in the Tri-state area supplying local hospitals. Light refreshments will be provided and donors will receive a T-shirt.
The City of Summerville invites its customers to join them as they celebrate Customer Appreciation Day on Wednesday, October 3. The City of Summerville will set aside this special day to honor its loyal customers. Water and gas customers are invited to visit Summerville City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to enjoy light refreshments served in the City Council Room. While supplies last customers will be presented with a free small pumpkin.

Cloudland Community Park is taking orders for Burning Leaf Festival T-shirts. The shirts will be maroon and long-sleeved with a vintage-style distressed ivory design (see image below).
