The Chattooga County Democratic Party will hold their next monthly meeting coming up on Monday, February 26, 2018. The meeting was rescheduled due to scheduling conflicts. The meeting will get underway at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Senior Center in Summerville. Coffee and refreshments will be served and all local Democrats and those interested in supporting the local Democratic Party are invited to attend.

The Chattooga County Beekeepers will hold their monthly meeting coming up tomorrow evening. The meeting will be held at the Chattooga County Agricultural Building, located just off Highway 100 in Summerville. Anyone with an interest in beekeeping is welcome to attend the meetings and become a member of the Chattooga County Beekeepers Association. Tomorrow’s meeting will be held at 7 PM.

Detective Kristen Snead Hearne Memorial Foundation, a newly-established foundation, will be holding its first two fundraising events on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Summerville, Georgia. Back the Badge Festival will take place at the Summerville Civic Center from 8 AM to 4 PM, and Back the Badge Benefit Concert will be held at New Generation Church of God from 6 PM to 9 PM.
The Chattooga Coalition of Rescues will be having a chili lunch and dinner Friday, February 9th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Chattooga County Civic Center.
Eat in or take out.
Clare Donohue and Stephen Powers will be providing entertainment from 5:30 to 6:30. Bingo will be played from 6:30 to 8:30.
All proceeds benefit local animal rescues.
