The next ARCC Meeting will be Tuesday, February 13th at 5:30 at the Senior Center on Senior Drive. We are working on our fundraiser for the home game of the Rome Braves for this season. The pubic is always invited to attend.
The Chattooga County 4-H’ers are asking you to donate gently used clothing for their “Mending Hearts and Minds Clothing Drive.” The clothes will be donated to those in need at area psychiatric hospitals. Many times patients are brought to psychiatric hospitals with only the clothes on their back. A Chattooga County 4-H student started this project to help out. You can bring your donations to the Chattooga County Extension Office or you can drop them off at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office as well.
“Ties and Tiaras”, a father-daughter dance is coming up this Saturday. The event is being sponsored by the CHS HOSA chapter. Find out details here:

Trion Elementary School is currently accepting applications for the 2018-19 Pre-K Program. Students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2018. For more information, please call 706-734-2991. A special Pre-K kick-off and registration event for upcoming students will be held at Trion Elementary on Thursday, February 22nd. The Kick-off will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM on the twenty-second.

The Chattooga County Republican Party will hold their February meeting Monday February 5th at 6:30 PM at the Senior Center in Summerville. A representative from Gubernatorial candidate Casey Cagle’s campaign is scheduled to attend and speak on Mr. Cagle’s behalf. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The regular monthly meeting of Walker Democrats will be on Thursday, February 15, 6:30 pm, at the Rossville Library (504 McFarland Avenue, Rossville, GA, 30741). The program will be a discussion: Sensible Talk about Immigration. The discussion will be led by Dr. David Pat Boyle, Ph. D., retired professor, Dalton State College, University of Georgia, and a scholar in Latin American issues and international social work. Diverse opinions will be welcome. The public is invited. Walker Democrats advocate locally, statewide, and nationally for living wages, fiscal responsibility, universal healthcare, and fair trade policies.
