“Cocoa with Santa” will return to the Walker Co. Library this Monday, Nov 27. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lafayette-Walker Library, families can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa at the library (much like Breakfast with Santa in Summerville on Dec 2).
It will be 4-6:30 PM. The cost is $5 per child, and proceeds will benefit the Walker Co. Library.
Local Democrats will hold their last meeting of the year on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017. The meeting and covered dish dinner will be held at 6 PM at the Senior Center. Members are encouraged to attend and bring a favorite dish for the meal. All interested persons are welcome.

The UGA Extension Office (and Judge Jon Dennis) will be sponsoring ‘Breakfast with Santa’ on Saturday, December 2. There are two seating times available: 8:30-9:30, and 10:30-11:30. Tickets are $5, and seating is limited to 144 people per seating. Advance tickets are on sale at the 4H Extension Office, Farm Bureau, and P&P Country Store. NO tickets will be sold at the door. Breakfast will be served by Santa’s elves at the Summerville First Baptist Life Center. Photos will be available: you can bring your own camera, or one they can be emailed to you. All children will receive one-on-one time with Santa during the breakfast. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Chattooga Chamber will host their Christmas Social lunch on Tuesday, December 5 at The Lookout Restaurant in Cloudland. They will be giving away door prizes, enjoying great food, and having the official Ribbon Cutting for The Lookout.

Lafayette’s 5th annual ‘Reindeer Run’ is set for Saturday, Dec 2. It is a 5K run/walk with a 1 mile fun run. It starts at 9 AM at Joe Stock Park. proceeds from the race with benefit the ‘Shop with a Cop or Firefighter’ program in Lafayette that provides Christmas presents to the children of dozens of families in need (similar to ‘Santa in Uniform’ in Summerville)
