The Chattooga County Historical Society is preparing for its fourth annual “Robert S. Baker History Awards” scheduled for next Saturday. To find out this year’s winners, and how to catch the awards, click ‘read more’.
The Chattooga FFA will be hosting a ham shoot on Saturday, November 11th at 11 am at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center. Proceeds will benefit the Dairy Show Team. Rounds are $5 per round and shells will be provided.
This Saturday, Nov.4, 8 M-1 PM, there will be a yard sale at Summerville 1st United Methodist Church on the corner of Washington and Congress Streets. It will be held rain or shine in the fellowship hall. Items will be priced to sell. All proceeds will be used for shipping Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
Chattooga Co. Schools will be hosting “Home for the Holidays” on Friday, Nov 3, from 11 AM-1PM, alongside Peach State Health, Primary Health Care, the Community Resource Center and Chattooga Family Connections.
There will be free food provided, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and canned goods for the first 100 people, as well as door prizes and resource booths. The event will be held at the Boys and Girls Club.

The Trion Middle Sschool Football Team is having a car wash, and all proceeds will be donated to less fortunate Trion families. It will be held on November 4, from 10 AM to 12 noon at Auto-Zone in Summerville.
Press Release: Royalty, fairies, pirates, and more will be found on the streets of Summerville, Georgia during the third annual Summerville Mini Renaissance Festival, scheduled for November 4. Festivities will kick off at 10 AM with an official welcome from “King Henry” on the front deck of the Summerville Depot. Festivities will be located along East Washington Street, inside and outside of the Summerville Depot, and through the railroad turntable. Admission is free.

Lyerly Elementary School Title I Math Night will be held on Tuesday, November 7th from 5:30-7:00 PM. Hotdog supper will be provided from 5:30-6:00 PM. Parents will then be dismissed to go to classrooms for Math activity’s and to discuss the non-negotiables for each grade level.
