Local Emergency Planning Committee Meeting

Library Hosting Pinterest Craft Night for Grown-Ups

The Chattooga Co. Library System’s Summerville branch will be holding an adult Pinterest crafting night on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 PM. They will supply materials for each participant. Registration is heavily encouraged, as supplies are limited, and requires only a visit or call to the library to sign up.

The Chattooga CO. Chamber of Commerce will meet next Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 12 noon at the Chattooga Co. Civic Center. Richard Montanaro of UGA’s Small Business Development Center will be speaking at the event, presenting “Last Minute Tax Prep For Your Business”.

Cruise-In to the the Annual Renaissance Festival

The annual Summerville Renaissance Festival returns today with music, food, and more. Performers from Georgia and Tennessee will be on-hand to provide a magical experience. more

Look for King Henry VIII, Fairy Grandmother, human gargoyles, and the King of the Trolls while enjoying art, games, and a feast fit for a king. The Renaissance Festival hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Also be sure to catch the North Georgia Cruisers last Car Cruise-In for the year. Anyone with a classy ride is invited to participate, whether it’s a car, motorcycles, or even a classic tractor.

The Cruise-In hours will be 11 AM to 3 PM, there is no registration fee to participate, and proceeds will go to buying Christmas toys children and families in need.
