Abbe Stoner is the winner of this week’s Birthday and Anniversary Club.  She will receive a $25 gift certificate to Menlo Family Restaurant and an arrangement from Duff’s Flowers.  She will also get 2 gate passes and 2 arm bands for rides at the Chattooga County Fair.  Abbe can go by Duff’s and pick up her arrangement and her gift certificate and come to the Fair Information Booth located next to the ticket booths to get her gate passes and arm bands to the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair.

Library to Host Program on Chattooga County’s Involvement in the Battle of Chickamauga

Civil War history buffs will want to take notice of a program that which will highlight Chattooga County’s role in the historic battle of Chickamauga.

Guest speaker James Ogden, Chickamauga National Battlefield’s Historian, will be on hand for a round table type discussion and a 10′ X 10′ map outlining the area and events that led up to the battle.  Bring lots of questions and if you have family Civil War memorabilia that you have questions about you are welcome to bring that as well.

The program will be held on Saturday, August 26 at 2 PM.

Summerville Council to Consider Sunday Alcohol Sales
