Sheriff’s Office Fundraiser for Well Care Check Program

 

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a fundraiser to help with expenses for the Senior Well Check program.  The sheriff’s department gets gift baskets together each year at Christmastime to deliver to the county’s senior citizens that are on the well-check list.

Trion to Face Bremen at Home Tomorrow

The Trion Bulldogs are set to face the Bremen Blue Devils tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Trion football stadium.

AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio will be broadcasting the game on the radio with the pre-game show starting at 7 PM and kickoff at 7:30 PM.  Join Anthony Gillleland and Jeremy Burke for the play by play on the radio and on SKY 21.5 Television. (Ben Groce will return the next Friday).

Trion High School wants fans to know that the ticket booth will open at 5:30, and tickets are $8.00. All students who are in Pre-K and older will have to purchase a ticket. No outside food or drink is allowed in the stadium, and there are no passes out until the end of the third quarter.

Labor Day Events in Lafayette and Ft. Oglethorpe

The annual “Labor Day at the Post” will be held today on Barnhardt Cir. in Ft. Oglethorpe from 11 AM to 5 PM. The event will include food, arts and crafts, vendors, musical entertainment, and childrens’ activities.

Additionally, the annual “Labor Day Car Show” for the “Walker County Stocking Full of Love” is happening today at the Walker County Civic Center. Registration will be 8-11:30 AM.  There will be prizes, breakfast and lunch concessions, silent auctions and a raffle.

Chattooga @ Dawson Co.; Trion @ Dade

Tonight’s local football games will both be away games, with the Indians facing Dawson County and the Bulldogs in Dade County. While there might not be any high school football games tonight inside the Chattooga county limits, you can listen to both high school games wherever you are, here on the web at Chattooga1180.com.

On the homepage, the red microphone link will be for the Chattooga game, and the green microphone link on the right for Trion. Additionally, we will be broadcasting the Chattooga game live on the radio, and you can catch both games again when we rebroadcast them on the radio this weekend.

Western Heritage Festival in Summerville Tomorrow

Summerville’s first ‘Cowboy Western Heritage Festival’ is coming to the Summerville depot tomorrow, Sept. 2 from 9 AM to 4 PM.
