The Summerville Pre-K Has Slots Available

The Summerville Pre-K has slots available for the 2017-2018 school year. To qualify children should be four-years old by September 1, 2017 and reside in the county. Bus transportation is available and there are no income guidelines. For more information call 706-857-3490.

ARCC Meeting

The next ARCC meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 13th, 5:30 at the Senior Center on Senior Drive. The public is always invited to attend.

Bee Keeper

Everyone is invited to hear Mary Cahill-Roberts speak at the June 13  Chattoga Beekeepers meeting.  Mary is a Master Beekeeper and past president of the GA Association of Beekeepers.  The meeting wilk be held at the Ag Building at 7 pm.

The Chattooga County Republican Party Cancels June Meeting

The Chattooga County Republican Party has cancelled the June meeting which was previously scheduled for June 1st at the Senior Center due to the timeliness of the GA State GOP Convention. Regular meetings will resume in July.

 

Kindergarten Enrollment To Be Held At Chattooga County Enrollment Center

Kindergarten enrollment will be held at the Chattooga County Enrollment Center for any students that will be eligible to attend Kindergarten for the upcoming 17-18 school year. Registration dates are June 15th and 16th, from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. To be eligible the child must turn 5 before September 1, 2017. Please bring the required following documents to register, Birth Certificate, SS card, Eye, Ear and Dental Form, Immunization form, and proof of residence for Chattooga County (must be a utility bill or rent/lease agreement ). All these documents are required at the time of enrollment. You may come by the enrollment center Tuesday-Friday 8-4, to pick up registration packets or print them from the Chattooga County School District website. Click on the K-12 Enrollment Center link on the side of the page.

 

Cloudland Community Sponsoring 5K Fun Run/Walk

Cloudland Community is sponsoring a 5K Fun Run/Walk on July 1, 2017. It will begin at 8 am at Cloudland Park at 284 Gadsden Avenue, Cloudland, Georgia. Runners/Walkers need to be at the park by 7:45 am. The registration fee for the run is $15 (pre-registration) or $20 (at the event). This includes a free tee-shirt.
