The Summerville and Menlo Georgia Pre-K classes currently have available slots for the 2017-2018 school year. To qualify, children should be four-years old by September 1, 2017 and a reside in the county. Enrollment is free and there are no income qualifying guidelines. Bus transportation is also available. The Chattooga High School Soccer Teams will be hosting a Soccer Clinic for students in grades K-8 on Saturday, May 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The clinic will be held at the practice field behind the softball complex at the school. The cost for the clinic is $15 and there will be several drawings for prizes. The CHS players will be working in age groups to teach drills and fundamentals. Registration will begin at 8:30. Forms have been sent out at all Chattooga County Schools.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held at the Summerville Library this weekend Friday May 5th and Saturday May 6th from 11am to 5pm. Books DVD’s and Audios can be purchased for $1 or less. On Thursday evening there will be a Friends of the Library Members only preview sale that will begin at 4pm-6pm. You can become a member and attend the preview sale for a $5 membership donation.
