Registration for Tee Ball, Baseball and Softball is now open at the Summerville Recreation Department.  The program is for children ages 3 to 12.  The age control date is prior to September 1, 2024.  You can now sign up in-person or online.  To sign up online go to www.summervillerec.org or you can scan the QR code above.  Registration is open through Sunday, February 11, 2024.  The cost is $10 for city residents and $25 for county residents.  For more information, you can contact the Summerville Recreation Department at 706-859-0910.

The Menlo Lions Club will be making their famous Brunswick Stew on the 12th of January. Price is the same at $30 a gallon or $8 a quart. Mohawk Industries will host a job fair on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Trion Recreation Department, located at 90 Dalton Street in Trion.  The job fair will take place from 10 AM until 4 PM. The Subligna Community is going to continue their Christmas Parade tradition in 2023.  The community, located in the northeastern corner of Chattooga County, says that the Fourth Annual Christmas Parade will take place the Saturday before Christmas this year.

The 2023 Chattooga High School Football Banquet will be held on Wednesday of next week.  The football banquet will be held at the high school cafeteria at 6 PM on December 13th.  All those who plan to attend are being asked to bring a dessert for the banquet.

Unfortunately, because of the forecast of rain, the Friends of Sloppy Floyd have had to cancel the Peppermint Project event scheduled at the park this Saturday. Mrs. Cardinal, the Elves of Peppermint Cave, and their friends will plan to see everyone next year
