Trick Or Treating At Sloppy Floyd State Park October 28

It’s almost that time of year again! Come join James H. “Sloppy Floyd” State Park for Trick Or Treating in the park campground on Saturday, October 28th. There will be a shuttle available from Day Use to the Campground from 6 PM until 7:30 PM. The park asks that unless you are staying in the campground, please do not drive your vehicle through the park while trick or treating is going on.

FCA Fields of Faith To Be Held at CHS Stadium Wednesday 11/1/23 – UPDATED EVENT DATE

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Fields of Faith will be held on Wednesday November 1st at 6:30 pm at the Chattooga High School football stadium.  The guest speaker for this year’s event is Michael Cook who serves as Discipleship Pastor at Dry Valley Baptist Church.  Music will be led by CHS teacher Kelsey Ray.

The FCA Fields of Faith is a student-led event by both Chattooga High School and Trion High School FCA chapters.  All churches and youth groups across the county are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Life Line Screenings October 20th At Chattooga Ag Building

Life Line Screening will hold health screenings for Chattooga County and surrounding area residents on October 20, 2023. Residents can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions with the screenings at the Chattooga County Agricultural Building – Chattooga County Extension on Middle School Drive in Summerville.

A new program promoting financial literacy will be held at the Chattooga Library in October. This program focuses on financial savings, investments, and retirement best practices. North Summerville Baptist Church Cancer Navigators Fundraiser Saturday September 30th

North Summerville Baptist Church will be hosting a BBQ fundraiser for Cancer Navigators. Cancer Navigators helps cancer patients with gas, back and forth for treatments, help with the purchase of wigs, with counseling and so much more. This year it is being done in memory of Mrs. Shirley Forbes. It will be Saturday September 30th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the church 119 Maplewood Drive Summerville, Georgia. Plates are $12.00 each and consist of BBQ/bun, baked beans, slaw, dessert and a drink. You can dine in or take out. Please come and help support Cancer Navigators.
