There’s Hope for Hungry at South Summerville Baptist Church has been canceled for today, Wednesday 1/17/24.
Center Post Community Center will host a free music night on Saturday January 20, 2024 beginning at 6 PM. Local talent, Laney Rayburn and Mason Thompson will be performing on stage. Concessions will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome to attend. Center Post Community Center is located at 8125 HWY 337 LaFayette, GA.
The Chattooga County Extension Office will be conducting a cooking class, beginning in the month of February, to learn how to manage diabetes and other chronic diseases through meal preparation. The Saturday classes will be held from Noon until 1:30 PM starting February 6th and going through March 5th. The classes are $15 each and you can register of find out more information by calling the Chattooga County Extension Office at 706-857-0744.
Registration for Tee Ball, Baseball and Softball is now open at the Summerville Recreation Department. The program is for children ages 3 to 12. The age control date is prior to September 1, 2024. You can now sign up in-person or online. To sign up online go to www.summervillerec.org or you can scan the QR code above. Registration is open through Sunday, February 11, 2024. The Menlo Lions Club will be making their famous Brunswick Stew on the 12th of January. Price is the same at $30 a gallon or $8 a quart. The Subligna Community is going to continue their Christmas Parade tradition in 2023. The community, located in the northeastern corner of Chattooga County, says that the Fourth Annual Christmas Parade will take place the Saturday before Christmas this year.
