SongFarmers of Summerville will once again be meeting in Dowdy Park this coming Saturday June 10th from 4 PM until 7 PM. Bring your chair and your Instrument if you play. And join them on the circle for 3 hours of live Music, Fellowship, Food, and fun. Rita’s Fried Pies will be there for food – bring the kids and enjoy this beautiful park and the live music!
The Trion Fire Department will be hosting their third annual Community Day coming up next Saturday, May 27, 2023. This year, the fire department is selling Boston butt plates, consisting of meat, baked beans, potato salad and a drink of your choice – or – you can purchase a whole Boston butt for $45. Mentone, Alabama’s Rhododendron Festival will be taking place this weekend on Saturday, May 20th from 10 AM until 3 PM. The event will featured 30 artisans to display photography, oil paintings, handmade jewelry, and more. The weekend Farmer’s Market will also be part of the festivities.
There’s Hope For The Hungry will be distributing food at the South Summerville Baptist Church this Wednesday May 17th from 10:00 a.m. until1:00 p.m.
The Chattooga Young Farmers will have their May meeting on May 22nd and it will feature Bill Bryan as speaker. Mr. Bryan will be talking about maximizing cattle profit. The Chattooga Athletic Booster Club has announced the Second Annual Golf Tournament to be held in June at the Trion Golf Course. The event will take place on Saturday, June 3rd with a 8:30 AM morning start and a 1:30 PM afternoon start. There will be a cash prize for first place and lunch will be provided.
