The SongFarmers of Summerville, Georgia are inviting folks out this weekend for good old-time country, bluegrass and gospel music. The SongFarmers are a group of people who gather monthly and invite others to join them for good music. During the warmer months, the event is held outdoors and will take place this Saturday, May 13th from 4 PM -7 PM at Dowdy Park in Summerville. Bring your instrument and play along, or just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music. Audience participation is greatly appreciated. There will be great food by Rita’s Fried Pies. Join the SongFarmers of Summerville this Saturday for an evening full of food, fellowship, fun and music.
The Chattooga High School 1973 Sub-Region Champion Celebration & Recognition will take place on Friday October 13th during the Chattooga vs Trion game. A reception will be held at 5pm in the high school cafeteria. The team will be recognized prior to the start of the game at approximately 7:20 pm.
The Dry Valley Baptist Church Clothes closet will be open this Friday May 12th. Clothes are free from 9 am to 11am. Everyone is welcome!
The Chattooga Lady Indians softball team will have a BBQ fundraiser this coming Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Judy’s Herb Shop Parking Lot. They will start selling BBQ at 10 AM until it is sold out. A sack lunch is $8 and will consist of a pulled pork sandwich, chips, a Little Debbie cake and a drink. Sandwich only is $5. Any orders of $25 or more can be delivered. The Chattooga Young Farmers will have their May meeting on May 22nd and it will feature Bill Bryan as speaker. Mr. Bryan will be talking about maximizing cattle profit. The Trion Middle School and Trion High School Band will be hosting their spring concert this weekend at Trion High School. Also, the Trion Guitar Club will be performing as the opening act for the concert. The concert will be held on Sunday, April 30th at 2:30 PM at the Trion High School Gym and the public is invited to attend.
