The Second Baptist Church of Summerville will be hosting their annual Mother & Son Dance on Saturday May 27th from 6-9 pm at the Chattooga County Civic Center located on 44 GA Highway 48. The Pregnancy Resource Center is hosting an Open House for the community on Thursday afternoon April 20th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. The public is invited to attend the event at the Center’s new location at 11564 Highway 27, behind Little Caesar’s Pizza next to the Boys & Girls Club.
There’s Hope for The Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist on Wednesday April 19th. The hours are from 10 AM until 1 PM. There is no ID required.
The Miss Chattooga County Pageant will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The deadline to enter the pageant is May 5th by 7 PM. Practice will be held on May 5th from 4:30 PM – 7 PM. Once again this year, the Chattooga County Young Farmers are selling Georgia-grown Vidalia Onions as a fundraiser. The onions are genuine, Georgia-grown Vidalia onions and will be shipped to Chattooga County in late April. The deadline to order onions is April 20th. Five pound bags are $8, ten pound bags are $12, twenty-five pound bags are $23 and fifty-pound bags are $40.
