The Trion Fire Department is asking residents to come out and enjoy the first annual “Community Day”, scheduled for Saturday, May 15th from 10 AM until 4 PM at the Trion Track Field.
The class of 1966 of Chattooga High is having a reunion on July 24 at 5 PM. Any class members that have not received a letter about the reunion by May 12 are asked to please contact Willy Chamlee @ 706-639-3832. They do not have everyone’s address, so if you know any class mate get in touch with them and let them know about it.
Blood Assurance is seeing the lowest number of blood donors since the COVID-19 pandemic began over a year ago. The pandemic severely impacted blood collections and numbers are not bouncing back. Blood Assurance is in critical need of O-positive and O-negative blood and in urgent need of B-positive, B-negative, A-positive, and A-negative blood. This year marks Cancer Navigators’ 15th year of providing free resources and services to cancer patients in our community and everyone near and far is invited to celebrate by participating in the second annual virtual race, annual Daisy Drop and #fifteenforfifteen Monthly Giving Program.
There will be a community yard sale at Cloudland Community Park on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st, 8 AM- 2 PM. All are welcome to come and shop or set up!
The Trion Rec Department is looking to hire additional umpires and bookkeepers for baseball/softball. High School students are welcome to apply also. Community Resource Center Chattooga announced on Monday that they will be distributing hams for Easter on Wednesday of this week.

The Northwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging is making its six-week Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop available remotely by computer or phone.
