Blood Assurance Seeking Donors

Blood Assurance is seeing the lowest number of blood donors since the COVID-19 pandemic began over a year ago.  The pandemic severely impacted blood collections and numbers are not bouncing back. Blood Assurance is in critical need of O-positive and O-negative blood and in urgent need of B-positive, B-negative, A-positive, and A-negative blood.  Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment to give as soon as possible.  Call Blood Assurance at  800-962-0628

Friends Of The Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Library will hold a Spring Book Sale April 22-24
Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday 10am-5:30pm and Saturday 10am-2pm
Books will be $2 for hard backs and $1 for paperbacks with a bargain table of books for .50¢.
There will be a half price book on Saturday the 24th.

Cancer Navigators Plans Virtual Race During 15th Anniversary

Trion Rec Looking For Additional Umpires

The Trion Rec Department is looking to hire additional umpires and bookkeepers for baseball/softball. High School students are welcome to apply also. Most games will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The season is scheduled to start around April 12th. Chattooga FFA Spring Plant Sale

The Chattooga County FFA chapter would like to announce the start of their 2021 Spring Plant Sale. Plants have been grown by agriculture education students at Chattooga High School’s greenhouse located behind the school. There will be an in-person Spring Plant Sale this year that will follow all COVID-19 guidelines.  A preview sale will be held next week, March 30-April 1 from 9 AM until 5 PM and open again after spring break April 12-16 from 9 AM until 5 PM.  To access the FFA Spring Plant Sale, please use the bus loading drive and follow signs to the greenhouse.

NW GA Area Agency On Aging Offering Free Course

The Northwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging is making its six-week Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop available remotely by computer or phone.
