The Cloudland Volunteer Fire Department is planning a Labor Day “Gospel Fest” at the Cloudland Community Park coming up September 6, 2021.
The Town of Lyerly’s Down Home Day is returning this year after having to cancel last year’s event due to the pandemic.
Mount Vernon Mills will be hosting a Blood Drive for Blood Assurance this Thursday June 10, 2021 from 7AM-5PM at the Central Parking Plaza of the Trion Operations. All the community is invited to participate. Drinking plenty of water and eating good meals in the days and hours prior to donation helps to make the process easy! If you are a first time donor, please bring ID with you. Light refreshments will be provided by Blood Assurance. A free T-shirt will also be given all who donate.
The Lyerly Civic Club is sponsoring a rummage sale coming up next Saturday, June 12. The sale will be at Angus McCleod Park in Lyerly from 8 AM until 2 PM. Vendor spaces are only $10 each and you are encouraged to bring your yard-sale items and set up a booth. The spaces are 10 ft. x 10 ft. All of the proceeds go to the Lyerly Civic Club Scholarship Fund for College Students.
Summerville Middle School Indians are hosting “McSpirit Night” at your Summerville McDonald’s this evening from 5 PM until 7 PM. McSpirit Night provides an opportunity for schools to raise funds. Friends and Families are invited to visit McDonald’s A percentage of sales from the event will be donated to the school.
Blood Assurance will be conducting a blood drive at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office located at 35 West Washington Street in Summerville on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 2:30 PM.
Ginger’s Blooms and Brews is hosting a free outdoor concert, Saturday, June 5th, in the Howard Finster Open Pavillion.
