Community Outreach Chattooga will be serving a hot meal at the Scout Hut In Summerville Ga. Saturday December 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will also be giving out jackets, gloves, mittens and boggins. All are welcome to attend. This event is free to the public. The Chattooga County Library Summerville Branch will be hosting a “Family Craft Night” coming up on Thursday, December 19th.
The Chattooga County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will hold their quarterly meeting on Thursday, December 12th at 8:30 a.m.at the Chattooga County Civic Center. All members or their representative and elected officials are invited to attend. A light breakfast will be served. Brent Newton, Safety and Training Coordinator and Matt Farmer from NGEMC will be presenting.
The Chattooga County Republican Party will hold its final meeting of the year this Thursday, December 5th. The meeting will be held at Sweet P’s at the Tavern in Trion. All are welcomed to attend. The meeting will take place at 6 PM.

The Chattooga County 4-H Shotgun Team will be having their 3rd Annual Turkey Shoot Saturday, November 23rd at the Chattooga County Ag Center in Summerville.
On Friday Nov. 29 from 11 AM till 3 PM (Central Time), Santa and Mrs, Claus will be posing in authentic period clothing for you to take free children’s pictures at the Mentone Log Cabin Village. The town will be having open house all that weekend with free cookies and treats.
