Christmas is just eight weeks away and The Chattooga County Young Farmers and Pine Ridge Outdoor Supply are hosting a holiday wreath workshop on Thursday, December 12th at the Chattooga County Ag Center at 6 pm. The Town of Trion’s Halloween activities are all still outside. This includes Moore and Gray St., Park Ave, Church St, Chestnut St, and most of the local churches.
Dry Valley Baptist Church’s annual Light the Night has been moved from Park Ave to the Trion Rec department. This was done due to the forecast of rain.
Despite the forecast of more rain and colder temperatures tomorrow evening, the Optimist Club Halloween Walk for downtown Summerville has been changed again. Yesterday, the decision was made to move the Summerville Halloween Walk to the Chattooga County Agricultural Building. Today, the decision was reversed, and the Optimist Club says that the event will be held “rain or shine” in downtown Summerville. No reason for the reversal in the decision was given.
Rainy, wet weather is predicted for Halloween and that is causing a lot of changes to plans for Halloween activities in Chattooga County.
The City of Summerville is gearing up for the 2019 Christmas Parade, to be held on Monday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale for the annual Chattooga 4-H Breakfast With Santa. The event will be held at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center on Middle School Road in Summerville on Saturday, December 7th. Tickets are $5 each and are available at the Chattooga County Extension Office and Chattooga County Farm Bureau Office in Summerville. No tickets will be sold at the door. The event is hosted by the Chattooga County 4-H and sponsored by the Chattooga County Farm Bureau.
