The La Fayette Library has an upcoming free event and they are inviting patrons and friends in Chattooga County.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be celebrated this year on Monday, January 20, 2020. The national holiday is often marked as a “day of service” to the community and people are encouraged to remember the legacy of Dr. King by volunteering time for a local charitable cause.
The Menlo Lions Club will be making their famous Brunswick Stew coming up on Saturday, January 10th. You can pick up the stew between 7 AM and 10 AM at the Menlo School lunch room. The price is $20 per gallon or $6 per quart.

The Chattooga County Library Summerville Branch will be offering free classes for older adults who have concerns about falling and as a result, restrict their activities. “A Matter Of Balance” is an award-winning, eight-week program that emphasizes practical strategies designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
