The Chattooga High School FCCLA will be hosting the 71st annual Miss Chattooga County Pageant on February 29th, 2020 at 4 PM at Chattooga High School.
The Lyerly Pre-K class currently has two slots available for the current school year. To qualify children should be four-years old by September 1, 2019 and reside in Georgia. For more information please call the Chattooga County School System Pre-K office at 706-857-3490.
Mount Vernon Mills will be hosting the Blood Assurance Buses on Wednesday January 8th from 6AM until 5PM. All blood donations are kept in our Tri-State region to benefit our families, friends and the community at large. Donors will be given a Fleece Holiday Themed Blanket for donating. Mount Vernon Mills and Blood Assurance invites all who can to come out and join with our employees in this Blood Drive.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be celebrated this year on Monday, January 20, 2020. The national holiday is often marked as a “day of service” to the community and people are encouraged to remember the legacy of Dr. King by volunteering time for a local charitable cause.
The Menlo Lions Club will be making their famous Brunswick Stew coming up on Saturday, January 10th. You can pick up the stew between 7 AM and 10 AM at the Menlo School lunch room. The price is $20 per gallon or $6 per quart.
