A twenty-nine-year-old Trion man will stand trial for felony murder and vehicular homicide in connection with the death of thirty-one-year-old Samantha Smith of Summerville back in January of this year.

Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry announced on Friday that the county will receive $1 million in Community Block Development Grant funds. The money will be used to expand water service to 131 people. Of those 131 people – 95 are low-to-moderate income households.
