Do you remember when Highway 100 was called Bolling Road?  Did  you know there was a Bolling School? (pictured above).  In fact, at one time there were over 30 schools in Chattooga County back before school busses ran and kids drove themselves to school. Every small community in the county had their own school.  Often times, one room had up to 40 children with one teacher.  Today at the Summerville Depot, the Chattooga County Historical Society will feature a program on schools in the county.  Come out at 2 PM to hear stories about schools in Teloga, Subligna and Gore and many others.  Meetings of the Chattooga County Historical Society are free and open to the public.
