The council will be looking to allow the interim city manager to begin coordinating site preparation for the new public works building that will be constructed on Vitality Drive near Mohawk, and approve a bid for the construction of the building at the site. Also, the council is expected to vote between three candidates for city manager at tonight’s meeting. You can see a complete agenda for tonight’s meeting below:

Developers of the “Lakes of Summerville” are coming under fire for not delivering on land deeds and promises made. The community, which is actually located well north of Summerville in the Teloga Community, was developed to be a “cooperative community, centered around faith, family & sustainability”, according to their website.

Thirty years ago, Chattooga County and people all across the east coast, were dealing with the “Storm of the Century” – the Blizzard of ’93. For those that remember, it was an event that totally stopped normal life for thousands.

When the Summerville City Council meets for their regular monthly session they will be looking to approve a new public works building for the city.
