Armuchee Man Arrested On Felony Warrant For Allegedly Stealing Mother’s Car

An Armuchee man, 65-year-old David Thomas Burnette, has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with theft by taking. The warrant alleges Burnette stole his mother’s 2014 Ford Escape, valued at approximately $11,000.

According to the details outlined in the warrant, Burnette is accused of taking the vehicle, which belonged to his mother, without her consent.

In addition to the felony theft charge, Burnette faces an additional count of driving without a license in his possession. The warrant also states that Burnette allegedly took steps to block his mother, preventing her from contacting him after the vehicle was taken.

Burnette was taken into custody and booked into the Floyd County Jail. He is currently awaiting further legal proceedings related to these charges.
