High School Football Tonight On WZQZ

The opening week of the high school football season did not go the way the Chattooga Indians and the Trion Bulldogs had hoped it would.  Chattooga was shutout on the road at Lafayette 25-0 and Trion lost to Gordon Lee in Chickamauga 23-12.  Both teams will get another crack at it tonight though and hopefully pick up their first win of the season.

The Trion Bulldogs will host the first home game of the season tonight at Sam R. McCain Stadium against the Dade County Wolverines.  Dade County is coming off a 4-7 season last year and the Wolverines lost big last week in their opener on the road at Ringgold 38-7.

The Chattooga Indians will travel to Dalton tonight to take on the Coahulla Creek Colts.  Coahulla Creek is coming off a 1-9 season last year and things did not start off any better this year as the Colts lost last week on the road to Northwest Whitfield 35-13.

Both the Trion and Chattooga games will be broadcast live on the WZQZ Facebook page.  The Chattooga game will also be broadcast live on 99.1 FM and AM 1180.  Join Chris “Bubba” Wilson and Steiner Davis on the call for the Indians while Paul Cavin and Jeremy Burke will be on the mic for the Trion vs Dade County game.
