Mr. Lonnie Willingham, Obit. (C)

Mr. Lonnie Willingham, age 66 of Menlo, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 

Mr. Willingham was born in Summerville, Georgia on July 1, 1951, son of the late J.H. Willingham, Jr. and Martha Mozelle Crye Willingham.  He loved working with his hands, especially woodworking and auto body repair and enjoyed fishing .  He was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church and was retired from the Dye House at Mt. Vernon Mills. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willingham was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Lee Wood Willingham; sisters, Shirley McCrickard and Jean McGraw; and his twin brother, Connie Willingham.

 

Mr. Willingham is survived by his wife, Lyda Sue Willingham; son and daughter-in-law, Labranne and Shaun Willingham; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Sue and Johnny Marshall; grandchildren, Dakoda Labranne Willingham, Lauren Rylee Willingham and Stacy Lewis; special friend, Steve Morgan and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Willingham will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Russell Headrick, Steve Morgan and Donna Shireman officiating.  Interment will follow in the AMI Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Dakoda Willingham, Drew Bennett, Steve McClain, Colby Young, John Hunter and Clint Hunter.

 

Mr. Willingham will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.

Richard Andy Crabtree, age 74, of Rome passed away Sunday January 28, 2018 in a local hospital.

Richard was born October 15, 1943, in Stephenson, Alabama, a son of the late George Crabtree, and Mae Smith Crabtree. He was preceded in death by sister, Louise Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Jarrett Crabtree, children, Todd Crabtree, Patrick Crabtree, Jeremy (Kathy) Crabtree, Casey (Melanie Hope) Crabtree, Meagan (Enoch) Cheatwood, brothers, Clarence Crabtree, Alford Crabtree, David Crabtree. 7grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday February 1, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ronny Hilton, and Dr. Jack Jarrett, officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Mrs. Patsy Jean McCollum Thomas, age 80, of Summerville, GA, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 16, 1937, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late William Henry and Rosa Whitley McCollum.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She reflected such characteristics as generosity, sacrifice, long-suffering, and hospitality.  Her humble spirit was shown in her concern and devotion to those who needed a friendly ear.  Her joy in life was being surrounded by her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph A. Thomas, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Frank McCrickard.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Alex Thomas, Todd Henry (Angie) Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Faith (Brian) Robinson; sister, Peggy McCrickard; grandchildren, Joy (Chris) Youngman, John (Stacey) Robinson, Callie Thomas, and Cole Thomas; great-grandchild, Jackson Robinson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 1, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Robinson, Rev. Billy Dempsey, and Rev. Howard Odom officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be John Robinson, Cole Thomas, Chris Youngman, Colby Helms, Doug Farmer, and Trey Skelton.

Mrs. Thomas will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
