Mr. Tommy Hughes “Tom” Dooley, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Dooley was born in Summerville, Georgia on September 25, 1941, son of the late Willie Hughes Dooley and Essie Norton Dooley. He was a 1961 graduate of the Summerville High School where he was a member of the 1960 State Championship Football Team. Mr. Dooley was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors, working on his farm, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Dooley had attended the New Antioch Baptist Church and prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Summerville Gas Department.
Mr. Dooley is survived by his wife, Peggy Martin Dooley; son, Rusty Dooley of Summerville; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Vergil Tudor of Lyerly; three grandchildren, Baylee Tudor Carpenter and her husband, Zack, Jessie Tudor and Abby Tudor; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dooley will be held Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Pledger and Rev. Kenneth Norton officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the Coffman Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 P.M.: Carl Dooley, Terry Wayne Dooley, Robert Norton, Jody Cochran, Marcell Yancey, Joe Reed, John Head and Kevin Scoggins.

Mr. Wilson McKinley Mann, Sr., age 69, of Trion, GA, passed away Monday December 23, 2013, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Mann was born July 10, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC, the son of the late Arthur and Lucille Reynolds Mann. Mr. Mann was a self-employed construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lee Reynolds Mann, children, Wilson Mann, Jr., Ronnie Mann, Dorothy Weaver, Geneva Burrage, Beverly James, Annette Elrod; brother, Larry Mann; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 26, 2013 from the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kevin J. Norton officiating.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons and Steve Rainey
Mr. Mann will be in state and the family will receive friends at the residence, 1187 Mountain View Road on Wednesday afternoon and until the service hour on Thursday.

Mr. Malcolm Lewis Payton, age 62, of Summerville, GA, passed away Monday December 23, 2013, in Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Payton was born July 10, 1951, in Trion, GA, the son of the late Lewis and Mittie Allen Payton. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Payton.
Survivors include his children, Amanda Payton and Efren Fonceca, Carrie Payton; brothers, Wayne Payton, Marvin Payton, Steve Payton, Anthony Payton, and Tim Payton; sisters, Sheila Hayslip, Janice Sink, Kathy Marbutt, and Sharron Gabriel; grandchildren, Kaidus
Fonceca, Tyleah Fonceca, and Donna Kincade.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Mason
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Malcom Harris and Rev. Gary Howell officiating.
Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Allen

Mr. Robert “Rocky” Gordon Lane, age 85, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Lane was born September 30, 1928, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Charlie and Dolly Payton Lane. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church, and prior to retirement, was employed with Mohawk. He also operated Rocky’s Woodcrafts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilene Lane whom he married on December 23, 1954; daughter, Debbie Lane; and sisters, Velma Lane, Verna Adams, Edna Pritchett, and Aileen McConkey.
Mr. Lane is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kim Lane of Summerville, GA, Charles and Kristi Lane of Dallas, GA; brother and sister-in-law; Clarence and Ozena Lane of Henagar, AL; sister, Mildred Wilkerson of Trion, GA; grandchildren, Brandy and Mark Jackson of LaFayette, GA, Lacey and Shaun Wooten of Summerville, GA, Matthew Lane and Chase Lane of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren, Jared and Lane White of LaFayette, GA, Selena Watkins of Summerville, GA, and Makenzie Dean of Dallas, GA; and special friends, Cheryl Hyatt, Buddy and Sheila Gentry, and Laura Dean.

Mrs. Cindy Campbell Brown, age 48, of Trion, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Brown was born Trion, Georgia on February 17, 1965, daughter of Tony Campbell and the late Charlene Steele Campbell. She attended the Teloga Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Prior to ill health, Mrs. Brown had been employed as a cosmetologist, and a sales associate of the Family Dollar, but is most remembered for working in the lunchroom of Summerville Middle School.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Scott Brown; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica Brown Grimes and her husband, Joshua, and Mashell Lashai Willis and her husband, Jimmie C. Willis, Jr.; father, Tony Campbell; Brother, Anthony “Zipper” Campbell; sisters, Angela Camp and Nicole Campbell Howard; grandchildren, Maddox Willis, Maverick Willis, Memphis Grimes, Peyton Grimes, and Olivia Grimes; and dear friends, Dicey and Ken Staton and Tina and Paul Powers.

Mr. Fred Wedgeworth, age 66, of Summerville, Ga passed away Tuesday,
December 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward
and Mae Ella Wedgeworth, one sister Ollie Mae Hudgins, and six brothers, Harvey,
Matthew, L.C. Felton, Robert Jr., and Steve Wedgeworth.
He is survived one sister, Ella Wedgeworth; three brothers and spouses,
Andrew and Ruby Wedgeworth, Harry and Susan Wedgeworth, and Henry and
Christanater Wedgeworth, all of Summerville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. from
the West Fifth Street Church of Christ with Bro. J.J. Bankston and Pastor John Lewis
officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour before the service.
