MRS. HAZEL A. HENDERSON, age 92, of Pine Street-Trion, Georgia passed away Friday (September 7, 2012) evening in a Rome hospital. She was born on March 19, 1920 in Walker County, Georgia to the late William McKinley and Myrtis Rosalee Brown Adams. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Trion United Methodist Church, the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries’, and was retired from Mt. Vernon/Riegel Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Hobert Henderson on September 7, 1993. Surviving are daughters and spouses-Maxine Henderson and Steve Drummond of Gibson, GA. and Phyllis and Larry Stansell of Trion; brother-Freeman E. Adams of Pensacola, FL.; grandchildren-Michael and Paula Drummond of Seneca, S.C., Cynthia and Danny Blume of Gaston, S.C., and Melissa and Adams Hankins of Trion; Five Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 9th, at 3:30 P.M. from Graveside in West Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Autry officiating. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Loveless was born May 7, 1956 in Summerville, GA. He was the son of the late James Loveless and Kathleen Ware Loveless. Mr. Loveless was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church and a veteran of the United States Army. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine McSears and Emma Jean Chaney; and a brother, Stevie Dewayne Loveless.
Survivors include his sister, Shirley Ann Hardaway; a brother, Rev. James Loveless; and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. V. T. Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Community Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nephews.
Mr. Loveless will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 p. m until the service hour on Sunday.
Mr. William Brown Dobson, age 88 of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 4th. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 8th in the Summerville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, September 7th at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home in Summerville. Carmichael Funeral Home of Smyrna is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dallas A. Lacy age 79, of Trion, GA passed away September 1, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lacy was born July 29, 1923 in Dekalb County, AL. He was a retired cabinet builder. He was a Veteran of the United State Army and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Tabernacle.
Mr. Lacy was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Evans Lacy; father and mother, Mark A. and Eliza Boozer Lacy; five sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Lacy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Raymond Giles of Summerville, GA; a grandson and wife, Mike and Dawn Giles of Villanow, GA; great-grandchildren, Madison and Eaton Owens; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Evans and Rev. Todd Threlkeld officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lacy will lie-in-state, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Lloyd Lee Noles, age 74, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday September 2, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Noles was born in Cherokee County, AL on Oct. 8, 1937, son of the late Archie Lee Noles, Sr. and Mary Poovey Love Noles. He was a member of the Berryton Church of God, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Sunday School Superintendent. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Noles was employed with Mohawk Industries. He was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Noles, and Orville Dean Noles.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Dewayne & Terri Ann Noles, and Eric Shane Noles; daughter and son-in-law, Regina & Tim Daley; mother of his children, Patricia Ann Noles; brothers, Bud Love, Archie Noles, Jr., Bobby Arp, Larry Arp; sisters, Mary Denney, Belle Bailey and Kathy Gorham; grandchildren, Heather Hines, Nathan Noles, Tonya Daniel, Levi Noles, Hope Hunt, Michael Daley, Samantha Daley, and Brandon Holden; 10 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Berryton Church of God with Rev. Bill Cox, Rev. Jim Chasteen, and Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Berryton Cemetery.

Mr. Buford Adolphus Fox, age 87, of Trion, GA, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Rome,
Mr. Fox was born May 23, 1925 in Collinsville, AL, the son of the late Daniel A. Fox and Beulah Drake Fox. He was retired from Mohawk Industries. Mr. Fox was a servant of God and a faithful member of Dry Valley Baptist Church. He was former choir director for 32 years. He also served on the deacon board and as chairman of the deacon board. He had 38 years of perfect attendance in the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Fox.
Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maggie Fox; sons and daughters-in-law, Buford Lee and Maria Fox, David Russell and Holley Fox; grandchildren, Melissa Adams, Todd Fox, Andrea Fox, Victoria Hawk, Danny Fox, and David Fox: 6 Great Grandchildren; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Dry Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Mr. D A “Pops” Bearden, age 84, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Bearden was born February 15, 1928 in Chatsworth, GA, the son of the late Doc Andrew Bearden and Irene Patterson Bearden Johnson. He attended Wayside Baptist Church. He was retired from Storey Lumber Company, but for most of his life he was a cotton and chicken farmer. He was a great fisherman and he loved to tell tall tales.
Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife, Sarah Rollins Bearden; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank “Tony” and Darlene Bearden, Jim and Lisa Bearden, and Donald Bearden; daughter, Virginia Stratton; brothers, Dailey Bearden, Lon Sidney “Bo” Bearden, and Jackie Johnson; sisters and brother-in-law, Viola Elrod, Mary and Leonard Bearden; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Howell and Rev. Don Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Bearden, Dalton Bearden, Scott Whitlock, John Dodson, Edward Tidmore, and Brian Jennings. Honorary pallbearer will be Yvette Lyles.

Mrs. Elsie Geraldine Fortune, age 80, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday August 26, 2012, in Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Fortune was born February, 24, 1932, in Trion, GA. She retired from E.T. Barwick Mills and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Richard Fortune.
Survivors include her children, Gary Fortune, Summerville, GA, Marilyn and Danny Hill of Rocky Face, GA, grandchild, Kerrie Hill.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A. M. (EST) on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Hutchins officiating.
The family request no flowers and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
