Mrs. Roberta Wofford, age 91, of Rome, GA, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at 5th Avenue Nursing Home.

Mrs. Wofford was born January 25, 1920 in Madison, GA, the daughter of the late Richard O. and Mary Benton Graham. She was retired from Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mill. Mrs. Wofford was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Wofford, and a son, Tommy Wofford.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Wofford, Richard Wofford, and Mike Wofford; grandchildren, Christy Windle, Ginger Wofford, and Cam Wofford; great- grandchildren, Asa Windle and Rese Wofford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Russel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bryon Wofford, Greg Wofford, Asa Windle, Cam Wofford, Alfred Crabtree, Jim Hawkins, Bryon Robertson, and Clark Robertson.

Mrs. Wofford will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

Mr. James Leon Coley, 67 of 1996 Spring Creek Road, Summerville passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Floyd Medical Center. He was born May 18, 1944 in Floyd County son of the late T.J. & Mary Agnes Kilgore Coley. He was self employed, a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Armuchee Church of God.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Sue Teal Coley of Summerville; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Marcy Coley & Scott & Amanda Coley all of Summerville; 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Kadie Grace & Kasey Coley all of Summerville; several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Izell & Rev. Ralph Goss officiating. The family will have a private interment service following the funeral.

Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and include the following, Tim Pickle, Warren Hall, Gordon Kinsey, Heath Moore, Michael Bean, Ted Edwards, Hubert Stanley & Bill Durham.

Mr. Coley will li-in-state this evening, Friday, at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Erveen Lee Searels, age 95 of Bandy Dairy Road, Trion, GA passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Memorial Health Care System.  Mrs. Searels was born in Subligna, GA on  August 16, 1916.  Mrs. Searels was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ.  She was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation and a member of the Quarter Century Club.

Mrs. Searels was preceded in death by her husband, Horace J. Searels; her father and mother, Homer H. and Jessie Beatrice Pruitt Broome; her son, Harold Wayne Searels; her son-in-law, Frank Bandy; her sisters, Catherine Landers and Hazel Williams; her brothers, Harold Broome and J. L. Broome.

Mrs. Searels is survived by her daughter, Faye Nell Bandy of Trion, GA; and her daughter-in-law, Maxine Searels of Trion, GA; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Minister Robbie Eversole and Minister Jim Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

MR. TOMMY MORRISON, age 68, of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Chattooga County, Georgia on September 15, 1943 to the late Paul and Jewell McCollum Morrison. Mr. Morrison was retired from heat and air conditioning and a Veteran of Viet Nam serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother the late Mike Morrison. Surviving are His wife-Jody Morrison; daughter-Robin Brown; son-Toby Morrison; granddaughter-Brecklyn Brown all of Lyerly; sister-Paula Cleveland and Carrie Morrison both of Lyerly, and Donna Ponder of Orange Grove, FL.; brothers-Ed Morrison and David Morrison both of Louisiana; several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Mr. Daniel Lee Hayes, age 76, of Knoxville, TN died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Hospital, Knoxville, TN.

Mr. Hayes was born June 27, 1935 in Trion, GA, the son of the late James Elbert and Lottie Christol Hayes. He was a graduate of Trion High School, having played football, baseball, and basketball. Mr. Hayes was a member of Trinity Chapel Church. He was a graduate of Tennessee Technical College. He had worked at Genesco Shoe Company, U. S. Census Bureau, and Levi Straus. He was a retired electrical engineer. Mr. Hayes was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his children, Timothy Hayes, Theresa Verge, and Renee Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beta and J. W. Greenwood; brother and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Loretta Hayes, Billy and Joyce Hayes; and several Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Silverberg and Curtis Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Benny Hayes, David Hayes, Robert Hayes, Jimmy Hayes, Robin Greenwood, and Steve Lanier. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Griffitt, Charles McLeod, Peter Dolan, Willie Joe McGraw, Curtis Phillips, and Drew Lanier.
