MR. WILLIAM CODY PIERCE, age 20, of James Street, Summervile, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, January 7, 2018, evening. Born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 28, 1997. Cody was previously employed in the lashing department of Mount Vernon Mills.
Ms. Bobbie Diane Sosa, age 54, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her residence.
MR. KENNETH D. (KEN) DODD, age 60, of Gadsden, Alabama, formerly of Chattooga County, Georgia passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at his residence, following illness.
Mrs. Margaret Lelia Kinsey, age 89, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at her residence.
Ms. Mildred Sue Mitchell, age 80, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
MRS. ALICE E. CROUCH, age 96, of Northwest Congress Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in a Rome hospital.
Mrs. Edith Louise McBurnett, age 89, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on August 14, 1928, a daughter of the late James Irving and Eliza Fisher Hensley. Mrs. McBurnett was a member of Church of God of Union Assembly.
She was preceded in death by husbands, the late George Arthur Morgan and Arthur McBurnett, Children, the late Milton Morgan, Archbald Morgan, Mary Jo Hamilton, Christine Morgan, Grandchildren, Pamela Hamilton, Travis Ridell Morgan, and Jonathan Hamilton, Daughter-in-law, the late Lena Faye Morgan.
Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law, Donna and Charlie Long; Son, George A. Morgan; 21 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, several Nieces, and Nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Dennie Smith and Rev. Lebron Long officiating, interment will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M.

MRS. ALICE E. CROUCH, age 96, of Northwest Congress Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in a Rome hospital. She was born on June 30, 1921, a member of The Summerville First United Methodist Church and was a beautician for many years. Mrs. Crouch was preceded in death by her husband, the late Paul M. Crouch on October 4, 1999.
Surviving are daughter, Paula Crouch Thrasher; son-William Crouch; several Grandchildren
