Ms. Linda Sharon Craig, age 72, of LaFayette, GA, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Edith Louise McBurnett, age 89, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on August 14, 1928, a daughter of the late James Irving and Eliza Fisher Hensley. Mrs. McBurnett was a member of Church of God of Union Assembly.
MR. CODY ALAN HOGUE, age 29, of Dogwood Circle, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, in a Rome hospital, following an extended illness. He was born in Floyd County, Georgia on March 23, 1988 to Cindy Morrison Hogue and Fred Hogue who survive. Mr. Hogue was a member of the Berryton Bible Mission, an avid deer hunter, and was a Land Surveyor by trade.
Mrs. Carrie Lee Galloway, age 40, of Trion, GA, died Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Saint Mary’s Healthcare System in Athens, GA.
Mr. Cody Hogue, age 29, of Dogwood Circle, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, in a Rome hospital, following an extended illness.

Mr. Loy Russell Payton, age 91 of Summerville, formerly of Rome, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Pruitt Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. John Harold Jennings, age 63, of Cedar Bluff, AL, passed away Sunday December 31, 2017, in Cherokee Medical Center.
Miss Lucy “Jackie” Jacquelyn Mitchell, age 88 of Menlo, GA passed away Sunday- December 31, 2017 at Oakview Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Zennia Day Eller Hester, age 88, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, December 24, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Hester was born July 14, 1929, in Cherokee County AL, daughter of the late Dan and Ethel Eller. She had attended Chesterfield Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Best Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Hester; sister, Millie Rabun; and a brother, Bud Eller.
Mrs. Hester is survived by her daughters, Brooke Hester, Bree Hester, and Bridget Hester; a brother, Fred Eller; grandchildren, Braden Roan, Jordan Roan, John Roan, and Alana White.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hester will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Hester will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
